Obama Renames Mt. McKinley to Denali
The mountain, the tallest in the United States at 20,237 feet and at home in the 6-million acre Denali National Park in Alaska, was originally named Denali by the native Eskimo people. It wasn’t until 1917 that it was renamed to McKinley in an effort to spur his presidential candidacy.
