BP Oil Spill Cleanup Cost Exceeds $3 Billion
Yep, it’s been two and a half months since the Gulf Coast Oil Spill disaster, and British Petroleum has been shoveling out a ridiculous amount of cash payments to fishermen, land owners, and anyone else who’s had an economic stake in the Gulf. This doesn’t include a $20 BILLION dollar escrow set up in June at President Obama’s insistence. Only time will tell how much this will eventually cost them, us, and the planet.

“A new poll found that 43 percent of Americans think President Obama is doing a good job at handling the BP oil spill. Of course, the same poll found that 43 percent of Americans hate pelicans.” –Jimmy Fallon
Good! Thank you! I always wanted to write in my site something like that. Can I take part of your post to my blog?
Sounds fine to me, I would appreciate a link!
Apparently the oil spill has stopped leaking but based on all the other stuff they have been covering up and lying about I highly doubt its the last we will here fo this problem. This is with out a shadow of a doubt the largest and most expensive natural disater ever. It makes me sick to see some of the pictures.
With the hundreds of millions of oil that has already leaked into the ocean todays small step forward somehow just does not carry the same effect for me as it does with others. How can we prevent this in the future and how can we hold the oil companys more accountable. The cost will be billions of dollars and it appears they are only willing to put in a few hundred million to clean up there own mess.
